Locations
The Las Vegas area has many wonderful locations for photography sessions. It ranges from beautiful desert landscape to woods with snow. To help easy some of the anxiety that comes with choosing the right location for you and your family, I have narrowed it down to some of the places I have photographed in the past years. However, I am always open to suggestions and welcome new ideas!
Some locations have rules and stipulations that need to be followed by the photographer. Some require pre-arranged permits and insurance coverage, please make sure to check with me before arranging a photo session in the following locations.
Floyd Lamb Park (Tulle Springs)
Floyd Lamb Park is one of the most photographed park. The park is full of lush green trees, beautiful ponds, and surrounded by wild life (bunnies, peacocks, ducks, birds). However, it also has a desert area with a beautiful mountain in the backdrop. If you are not sure if you would like grassy or desert, this might be the location for you because you could obtain both in one spot. The park has a $6 fee per vehicle located off the 95 and Durango. There is a $150 permit fee.
Red Rock Area
The Red Rock area has beautiful desert landscape with colorful mountains that surround the area. Beautiful area that will give the session a colorful desert feel that will truly represent Las Vegas desert.
Dry Lake Beds
Beautiful dry lake beds that are located in Nelson. Located about 10 mins south of Boulder City. Discuss meeting location with me prior to session, since is an open field. $50 travel fee.
Ghost Town (Nelson, NV)
Ghost Town is a fun place to shoot with vintage cars, abandoned buildings, planes, buses, gas station, and lots of antiques. This location has strict rules and stipulation since it is privately owned and reside there. Please make sure all rules are followed to avoid getting band from the town. There is a $20/hour fee, + $50 travel fee.
Valley of Fire
Gorgeous red mountains landscape...This location is about 2 hours north of Las Vegas on the 15 toward Utah. There is a $150 permit fee and $50 travel fee.
Mountain Charleston
Mountain Charleston is located about 45 mis north of Las Vegas off the 15. If you are looking for woods and snow this is the place to go! However, in the summer and spring it has beautiful flowers and lush trees and sometimes even wild horses.
Wetlands
The wetlands is filled with gorgeous trees, water, and bridges. This is located off Boulder Hwy and Tropicana.
Fremont/Art District
If you're looking for an urban/Las Vegas look for your session this will be your location. There are graffiti walls, buildings, lights, and many more.
Gardens Park
Beautiful park with lots of greenary. During the Spring the trees bloom with white flowers. In the fall the trees have beautiful fall colors. Wonderful spot for family to choose.
Calico Basin
Beautiful park with lots of greenary and mountains. In the fall the trees have beautiful fall colors, which look amazing against the red rock mountains. Wonderful spot for all types of sessions.
Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is a vibrant, bustling stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard, Known for its iconic neon lights, massive resorts, and towering hotels. This location offers a modern and retro styles giving countless opportunities for captivating photos.
